Dating App (Concept Design)
A mobile dating app concept designed to help people make genuine connections with others nearby — turning strangers into friends (or something more) based on real proximity, not just endless swiping through profiles miles away. This was explored as a UI/UX concept project focused on mobile app design.

The Problem
Most dating apps optimize for volume — an endless feed of profiles with little regard for whether a match is realistically someone you'd bump into, meet up with casually, or build something with. Distance is often buried as a filter rather than treated as the core of the experience. The result is a lot of matching, but very little actual connecting — conversations fizzle out because there was never a real-world reason to meet. The challenge was: how do you design an app that makes "nearby" the whole point, not an afterthought?

The Solution
"Let's Talk" was designed around proximity-first discovery — surfacing people genuinely close by, so a match feels like the start of something that could actually happen in real life, not just another chat thread. The interface leans on a friendly, approachable visual language (soft gradients, a confident blue-on-white palette, rounded typography) to lower the intimidation factor that a lot of dating apps carry, positioning the app as being about making friends first, with romance as a natural next step rather than the only goal. Simple, high-contrast CTAs like "Strangers" and clear onboarding language ("Make Friends form Strangers") keep the tone light and low-pressure from the very first screen.
